Teen Ministry Director

The Other Way Ministries is an urban Christian community development organization located on the Westside of Grand Rapids.  “The Other Way” is committed to working alongside urban neighbors, building a community of hope, and extending the love of Christ.  We are currently seeking a full-time Teen Ministry Director.  This individual will provide program leadership for and oversight of all planning, organizing, implementation and evaluation of programs for middle and high school youth.

Qualifications:

  1. A demonstrated commitment to Jesus Christ
  2. Bachelor's degree preferred in a field related to the requirements of the position
  3. At least two years of direct ministry experience with urban youth from diverse socio-economic and cultural backgrounds
  4. A passion for and ability to build relationships with teens
  5. Experience providing effective administrative and organizational leadership and supervision of others
  6. Ability to encourage, support growth and focus on the development of neighborhood teens spiritually, emotionally, mentally and physically
  7. Willingness to learn from and work alongside parents of teen participants
  8. Valid driver’s license and the ability to drive a 15 passenger van
